The annual Careers Expo is an opportunity for students, teachers, parents, and other people interested in the Northern Territory to explore career opportunities and identify future career pathways. Exhibitors will be from a range of different industries, training providers, government departments from both the NT and interstate and education organisations who will develop an interactive display stand where you will have an opportunity to talk and discuss career opportunities. Some exhibitors are also carrying out a recruitment drive where you will be able to express your interest working for certain companies.

Vision statement
The Careers Expo is for everyone - providing information on employment, training and education options to assist career development and life choices.
Aim
To provide a careers based forum for students, schools, the general public, industry, business and non-school education providers to develop networks and relationships.
Objectives
- A forum for Year 10- 12 students to obtain appropriate career, training and employment information.
- Increase participant’s knowledge of career, employment and training options.
- For exhibitors to showcase their business and promote career, employment, training and education opportunities.
- Achieve outcomes under the Department of Education and Training’s (DET’s) School to Work Transition Strategic Plan.
Goals
- Generate more interest from participants and to make the Careers Expo a worthwhile experience for all involved.
- Increase parent/guardian participation.
- To make it worthwhile for industry and business to attend the Careers Expo.
- Provide a forum for a recruitment drive by industry and local businesses.
- Participants to gain a better understanding about employment opportunities in their region.
- Increase interaction between exhibitors and participants so they gain knowledge on employment, training and education options and lifestyle choices.
- Increase the profile and credibility of the Careers Expo with industry, business, non-school education providers and participants.
